Drive to work?

How many miles do you drive to work daily? What would be your limit?

At home (St. Charles) 15 miles one way. Down here at school (RollHA), its about 10 miles to my boss's house. Usually we work there, but who knows. My dad drives 35 - 40 miles ONE WAY.

Being in the residential building trades, my jobsites vary from time to time. The furthest I've driven to get to one was 175 miles ea way (it was only a 1 day job).

I wouldn't say I have a limit, the further I have to drive; the more I charge.

I do 21km one way. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes tops plus its a country drive no lights or intersections.

My commute consists of about a 30-foot walk from my bedroom to where ever my laptop is set-up that day. On good days it's in the garage, and on bad days it's in my home office!

As far as how long of a drive I'd tolerate, that would completely depend on what the salary was. Although, after 10+ years of working out of a home office, having to fight traffic twice a day would be a severe shock to my system -- I am undoubtedly spoiled with my present work arrangement!

30 miles each way plus 10 or so at lunchtime. That 70 miles a day is why I put 18,000 miles on my truck in 8 months! Now she sits in the garage all warm and clean and I rag on the company car.
