Is the Ranger built on **ANY** F-platform?

That's why.

It says at the top right of the page "THE COMMUNITY FOR LATE MODEL FORD TRUCKS".
Is the Ranger not a Ford truck?

Not really. No.

And our "charter" of sorts is pretty clear on our homepage.

Welcome to F150online.com, the web site for owners and enthusiasts of the 1997 to present Ford F-150 and its variants, including the Super Crew, Lightning, King Ranch, Harley-Davidson, Expedition, Blackwood and Lincoln Mark LT.
Anyone that comes here actually expecting a Ranger forum needs to check their reading comprehension skills.

And before anyone asks...we offer the Super Duty/Diesel forum because a lot of people step up to those trucks, but very few step down to the Ranger.

Good show! The words "Ranger" and "power" do not belong anywhere near each other. You thought the F-150 was a dog, try a 3.0L V6 Ranger with an automatic. Even worse, the 4cyl automatic.

actually the Ranger was a trim level in the late 60's to the early 80's on the 1/2 ton trucks before it was dropped and used for the compact ranger truck.

Yeah. I own one. See the charter though.

It's a 78 though... not 97+.

Very useful information when it comes to everything about a Ranger.

I think guys shouldn't knock 'em.

What's the point? You own an F-series, they own a Ranger, who cares?
Like comparing a chevy owner to a ford owner......who really cares!?!?

Most of us started out with something simple or basic as a truck (or any kind of vehicle), and couldn't afford more than that. So it does the trick for a lot of people and fits their needs.

So I'd lay off the bashing of anyone that owns (or owned) a Ranger.

Sorry, end of rant. Just hate seeing bashing someone because of what they drive, it's childish.

Now good old fashioned humour......well it's different, and widely accepted. LOL
