Actually if you “step up” to the 4.0 they are great truck if you don’t have serious towing needs. It’ll tow up to 5,000lbs I believe. I tow my 2 ATV’S with trailer, approx 2,000lbs and you wouldn’t know they were back there…

However, I do agree with RockPick and the Webmaster, this is an F150 forum. I don’t even own one anymore, just the Ranger and sold my 2003 Lightning to purchase the 2006 GT Mustang I have and LOVE it…

If someone has questions about a Ranger I am sure they won’t delete the threads but I can not see any need for a Ranger forum either…

Gimmee an E

And as long as we are on the subject I wouldn't mind seeing an E-series forum here either. I like to learn about ALL Ford trucks without having to wander all over the internet.

I do like the 4.0L in the Ranger. Now that truck hauls. But, it is a gas hog too, or so I hear. Never owned one so I wouldn't know. All in all, they are great trucks, every single one of 'em, whether it says F-XXX on the side or Ranger. Just don't include the Escape as a truck. That's blasphemy!

Yes, you could say that. I average about 18mpg - 19mpg, I may sometimes see up to 21 - 22, but average is about 19mpg...

I love my 4.0 Ranger just as much as my F-150. Only difference is the Ranger handles way better. On the other hand the F-150 tows more. But I still get a kick out of drivin the Ranger.

One thing I can say about the Ranger, that you can't about the F150, the owners are MUCH more enthusiastic and love their trucks.

Funny, the Ranger is the most dated truck on the market, period. And yet, on the Ranger forum I moderated for over 2 years (www.Generation-Edge.com) we hardly EVER had a negative nancy.

Around here I feel like I have to justify driving an American truck, instead of some Japanese truck.

People on the Ranger forums just can't get enough of their trucks... they love them to death. I personally think my F150 is an even better truck than my Ranger (Which I LOVED, and I have been told by countless people it was the nicest Ranger they had ever seen, or heard) and I guess that is why I am so confused as to the atmosphere in these parts.

Oh well!

I got a Windstar.

If I ever see a Ranger Forum on here there better be a Windstar Forum right under it.
