Good try; but, no part of TX is north of OK state line. The panhandle is west of it.

I "got it" - hence the wink. It was a joke.

Well, if you extend the eastern part of the line, it is... lol (once again, a joke for those that can understand)

Anyway, in Lubbock, you'll get anywhere from a few inches to a foot or more (on the less common occurrence)

Midland is MUCH smaller than Lubbock. It really pales in comparison.

Sorry, I couldn't resist

I'd go a little more north/east if it ws me. Jump on I-44 in texas and follow it till the end, anywhere in the last 276 mile stretch is a nice place to stop....

Your biggest culture shock will be the extreeeeeemly slooooooow pace everyone has........ From the time I hit the texas line my blood pressure rises, driving 10-15 mph under the posted speed limit is not uncommon and very typical. A typical 1 hour drive, takes 1 hour 45 mins becsaue of the retarded traffic. (retarded meaning slow not necesarilly being deragatory).

Other than that the people are really nice, infact maybe overly friendly.... a 5 min trip to wal mart takes an hour +, because complete strangers stop you and share thier life story.

Midland -- it's a good place to be "from".......

Lubbock -- once you've been through the Buddy Holly Museum you've officially done everything there is to do in Lubbock.......

I got the joke. I even thought it was clever... but the feeling passed rather quickly.

It was a beautiful thing that one inch of snow, here in Texas, the DFW area of Texas. 'Twas a blizzard of epic proportions.

What Texas cities are near you I know you are from Arkansas but I love the pics I have seen from the Ozark Mountains...

If I owned Texas and Hell, I'd rent out Texas and live in Hell. Has anybody ever read The Midland, Texas Story by Tucker Max?
