Can I get everyone with 70's model trucks to post up pix and drivetrain info?
My buddy who bought the '75 short bed off me is trying to sell it. Well, I've now got an '89 Mark VII drivetrain that would be sweet in that truck...

I still have a running '79 longbed 4x4 parked in a field at my folk's place, but it needs a lot of work. Actually, my '79 is about 2 hours south of closer9.

I *almost* bought a 1973 Ford F-150. Regular cab, short bed, 4x4. 75,000 original miles, 4 speed with granny low, freshly rebuilt and bored over 400M. New 6" lift with 35" tires. Tailgate was rusted, but all other body panels were near perfect. They were only asking $2300 too...

My first vehicle was a '70 F-100 Custom. 302 and a three-on-the-tree. Swapped it out for a three speed overdrive on the floor and added headers, true duals and cherry bomb header mufflers. Sounded like a big block after that! With the manual fuel pump in that thing you could coast a little ways with the key off and then flip it back on...it'd throw about a two foot flame out both sides of the exhaust! Had a lot of good times in that truck. Don't think I've got any pictures handy of it though. Good 'ol trucks.--DIY

I had the back fire down to about a 10mph cost for 2 seconds, flip the key off, floor it, as soon as the pedal hit the floor, hit the ignition. *BAM* people would hit the deck like a gun went off...
I'd do it crusing through McDonlads parking lot on the weekends. (that was part of our cruise route) Ohh hte days of mechanical timining and carburation. Cant do that anymore with todays fuel injection.....
Used to "borrow" dad's 69 Bronco back in HS alot. 302 three on the tree. Man, that truck got alot of looks. No one could understand that it was a manual and the shifter was on the column.
