Nice trucks guys! I need to post some pix of my buddy's (the one selling the shortbed) '78 longbed. It looks mostly original, but very nice. 302/C4, sky blue/wimbeldon white with early 90's OE aluminum wheels that look similar to AR Outlaw II's...

Well, I've decided to pass on the '75. I'm going to go ahead with the Cobra kit plan or Dad brought up a good idea. CARS now makes a '69 Camaro body, and I believe a '57 Chevy body. They are supposed to be working on a Stang body, either '67 or '69 (I'd prefer the '69). So, I might look into building one of those with the Lincoln drivetrain. Since pretty much everything is available (one the body is released) it would be very much like building a kit car, and I can do what I please with it, and not offend the pure-ists...

Actually, the company making repop bodies is Dynacorn. Here is the link http://www.dynacornclassicbodies.com/classic.html right now they only have 69 camaros (coupe and vert) and 48-50 and 52-54 chevy truck cabs. A 67 stang fastback is coming soon

Thanks for the compliments!

Truck has a 302. I bought the truck as my very first vehicle back in '94. The motor knocked, transmission slipped, the front end was wrecked, and the bed was rotted out. I bought the thing for like $500. (Probably too much). After years of hard work and lots of $, this is what it is today. I was planning on taking out the 302 for a bigger motor, but I just can't do it. That 302 is the first engine that my Father and I built, so it's a little sentimental, and it just runs so good. It just has the "usual" stuff done to it, bored .030, headers, 4-barrel, headwork, etc. etc. etc. For an old pickup, she's gets up and moves!
Next project, swapping out the boring C-4 for a 4-speed........

Seriously the toolbox and camper shell don't have a "home" so they are just sitting on the bed.
