Crossing Canada/US border questions
Crossing Canada/US border questions
I found a car I want to restore, but it is in Canada. I can go get the car myself with my truck and car hauler, gas will be a bitch.
Anyway, is anything special required to bring the car back into the US from Canada?

You'll have to get all the paperwork saying that it is yours and you paid so much for it. When you cross the border they will require you to pay import taxes on it based on the selling price. These will be in addition to other taxes you pay in Canada and in your state.
I'm pretty sure that is about all there is. I've never brought back a car from Canada, but have crossed the border countless times with other things bought there.

License + Birth Cert OR Passport is required.
Canada Rules and the US needs to remove that fat head from the ****.
Mexicans can walk over the border, and get a job at any fast food joint, but you have to basically sign your life away to get into Canada.
hmmm, maybe I need to ditch Texas and move up there with Arctic.

I will just have to figure out a way to get there without having to give up our first born.

50th state? Hawaii? Hmmm...
When I had questions about legality of transport, I just went straight to the horse's mouth, and called the actual border station that I would be crossing. The guy who I talked to gave me his name, so if there were any issues, I could ask for him.
