What kind of car? Any time I search for a old project car (wife wants a 67 Fastback Stang, well so do I), all the deals seem to be in the southern states?

More and more people here are buying cars, mostly Hondas, on the U S side and taking them across. You save from 4 to 10 grand. We pay for the vehicle and the dealer sends the paperwork to the border. It has to be there 72 hours prior to trying to take it across. You use a temp. plate pay GST [6%] tax at the boarder and then have a safety done on the vehicle prior to registration. Not sure how classics or antiques work but Customs can tell you. What city are you going to? Maybe someone on this side can help.

Morris, Manitoba.

The one I am looking at is pretty much shot. The floors are rusted out, interior is crap. I just want to bring it back to life.

I had ZERO problems getting into Canada... showed them a pic and told em I was on vacation..

Coming back to the US... they had about a hundred questions.... I felt like they thought I was lying to them...

Every question I answered was met with "Ugh Huh..." all slow and drawn out..

Screw them.

Remember, you could always swim Lake Erie, Superior, Ontario, or Huron!

My fat **** couldn't swim across a pool much less a lake. I might be able to float across like a blob.
