X-Plan PIN Question

I purchased my current F150 with my wife's X-Plan PIN number. I'm in the market for a new vehicle for her (either a midsize sedan or small SUV), but she doesn't work anymore. I'm leading toward the Fusion/Zephyr or the Escape/Mariner. I've noticed people giving away their X-Plan PINs on this site. How does one buy a vehicle with an X-Plan PIN that someone gave them? Thanks in advance!

The pin works the same way as the old pin your wife had. I work for Ford and I can get you a pin if you need one. I would just need your first and last name, home address and the last 4 of your social security number. Just let me know. Dave

Yikes, that's a bit too much information to send out over the internet! Thanks anyway.

Just as a re-assurance, he DOES need all that info. Or you could just fight with the dealership for 1% under invoice (typical X-plan pricing).

Oh, I don't doubt that he does. That's just a bit too much information to send to someone I've never met!
