Any Idea why? I mean is it a Sanyo product marketed under a different name, or does Sanyo make the components for Olevia? Is Olevia it's own company?

Did that make sense??

It may be that they sell them under a different name so you don't know that they are made by a crappy company. Sort of like Nissan/Datsun.

Maybe I'll hit Best Buy this weekend, although I won't give a single dime to them Magnolia idiots.

Then just do this for the 32" from these folks. Sure its a factory refurb but whatever, its just shy of $700... http://www.refurbdepot.com/productde...roduct_ID=4653

Dude, there are actually only a few panel manufactures out there. I'd venture to guess Sharp, Sanyo, Sony, and a few others make panels for about 20 different brands. SO what's the diff? The backend components and engineering involved in making a stellar picture. There is a TON of electronics that go into a high quality HDTV. Cheap electronics, crappy picture but low price. Get it? Got it? Good.
