Peterson will be in there somewhere (if he goes, and he'd be stupid not to).

Darius Walker has not seen a run defense like LSU's. He has not been particularly productive against decent run defenses (less than 60 yards each against USC, Michigan, Michigan State, and Penn State). LSU is an SEC team built to stop the run and has one of the top defenses in the nation. I think LSU's weakness is that they have not played a really good passing quarterback this year.

No it wasn't that 7 point "whooping", it was the low class of the LSU fans that did it for me.

SEC has always been a tough division, they just didn't get the recognition they deserved (until 2004 anyway).

So, LSU is my pick...

Plus, I CAN'T STAND Notre Dame... The only thing I ever liked about Notre Dame was Lou Holtz (much respect) and the movie "Rudy".

Yeah, it was only a 7 point difference... But anyone who knows anything about football and watched the game will tell you that it was definitely a whooping.

Look at the stats:

Oklahoma LSU

Total Net Yards 172 315
Total Plays 78 70
Average Gain 2.2 4.5
Net Yards Rushing 98 165
Rushes 28 39
Avg. Per Rush 3.5 4.2
Net Yards Passing 74 150
Comp.-Att. 13-38 14-23
Yards Per Pass 1.8 6.2
Sacked-Yards Lost 4-29 1-3
Had Intercepted 2 2

The Heisman winning QB??? 13 for 38 with 2 picks and one returned for a TD. Pass yards per attempt: 1.8 yards.

Yes, that was a close score, but none the less, a whooping.

BTW, that info can be found here:http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegefoo...0040104_OK@LSU

You could same the same for Chris Weinke, when we shut him out in 2000. He was the Heisman winner, but did nothing against the OU defense.

You still did not stand up for the LSU fans.

I will not stand up for anyone I do not know... however, you are the 2% of everyone I've ever heard of having a problem with the LSU fans. All fan bases have their share of a$$holes, and I'm not going to say that LSU does not. I apologize if you had a bad expiriance with any of them, but since I wasn't there I can't do anything about it... What about that arrogent POS you call a coach?
Can you answer for his attitude?

How in the world can you call Stoops an arrogant POS? What do you not like about him? The fact that he wins? The fact that he pulled a championship team out of the gutter in the 90's and returned them to the power that they are? The fact that he is the highest paid coach in NCAA?

or are you just mad that you have Lester as your coach?

Stoops has a great attitude (and I'm an SEC fan, not a big 12 guy). He's on the radio here all the time and he seems like a really good guy. Maybe you're thinking of someone else?

Well, you're right on one thing... I do not like Les Miles all that much. I believe if we still had Saban we would have been the Chapionship game the last 2 years... Miles is just not near the motivator that Saban is...

I've listened to Stoops press conferances and read interviews from... I do not care for his attitude, nor that way that answers questions about his shortcomings. I'm not taking away from what he accomplished as a coach, but you can still respect a man's accomplishments without liking him as an individual.

I agree about the Les Miles stuff. Methinks that when Lloyd Carr is all done in Ann Arbor, ole' Les is gonna want that job. Good riddens, I say.

And it's a frightful thing that Saban is back in the SEC now. Two good recruiting classes, and Alabama will be a power again. Whoever says that the SEC is NOT the toughest conference to play in is sorely mistaken.

I also think that the SEC is the strongest conference, but it is only 4-3 in the bowl games so far with LSU and Florida left. It will probably end 5-4, which is not that great.

Surprisingly, with 127 yards Walker actually had a good game against LSU--not that it mattered in the 41-14 LSU blowout.

Walker did have a good game, especially in the second quarter. He was over 100 yards in the second quarter, but, as predicted, LSU was too much for the Domers.

Anyone else think that JaMarcus Russell made Brady Quinn look like a scout teamer? It's a shame that all that talent will probably go to the Raiders or Lions, perennial NFL basement dwellers.
