You can actually get a rear facing third seat for the older ones as well. My father-in-law has one in his 97. It is a PITA because you have to open the rear gate to get kids in and out, but it does work.

Yea we seen those a few years ago, but they looked like a pain and werent really that cheap. Shes had an exploder for the last 9-10 years..... This one is a 97 and has 150K miles... I've been trying to get her to trade t for 2 years and she has finally agreed, but first the stipulations were for a minivan.

Not no, but HELLLS NO!
First I dont want one in my driveway
Second I aint working on one.

When I told her I wouldn;t work on it that EVERYTHING would be taken to the dealer on it, then it didnt seem like such a good idea....

Then she seen a Trailblazer and realized they had a third seat (I dont know why this is important, we only have 2 kids....) but she decided this would work.
Then I learned that Explorer has the third seat now, so she is jacked about getting another Exploder.

We started shopping online today, I guess monday we began hitting the lots.
Found a nice Limited Edition with all the options we want in the price we are willing to pay, but it is the wrong color.....

I'm finally winning one... I am so excited!!!!

Naw not this time....

I said Explorer or if she haaad to have more room, Expedition or Escalade. Most woman would have jumped on Escalade if they were wanting more.

She was firm on minivan for the last 2 years.... Started shortly after she got this last explorer, but got more demanding the last 2 years when I started ushing to trade off.... I dont know why she thinks that she wants one, I ussually let her get whatever she wants....but there is no way it is ever happening unless she becomes independantly wealthy through inheritance or something. As long as I dont have to pay for it or work on it and she builds a garage to hide it in....I don't care.....

Minivans aren't that bad. I felt the same as you until we finally got one. We are now on our second one and find them quite handy. I have five kids so it became a must for us but I really like it. Our first one is still sitting in the driveway in case of emergency but it has 275,000 miles on it so it doesn't go very far. The one we use all the time now has 135,000 on it and looks like it will go another pretty easy.
