No baseball here My wife is the real deal soccermom. Four of the kids play soccer already and the fifth is chomping at the bit. He still has two years before he is old enough. We also have a Border Collie that play as well. Sometimes he is even better than the kids.

Here is one of them in action

Awesome picture man!!!!!

I'm assuming that is some of your work?

Mind if I steal that design or variation of it sometime?

Thanks for the props, and yes it is my work. Here are a couple more like it.

It is not my personal design so I guess it up for grabs. It is called OOB or Out Of Bounds. It is actually quite a lengthy process, and I do have a set by step tutorial on just how to do it if you are interested.

Just thought I might add that there are many layers in this type of work. The tutorial will help the first time or two.

I have been doing several similar for several years....

then with my first sig....

I just need to add some persepetive to the box to go from 1D to 2D.

I love layers, all my work is waaaay over layered..... It's not uncommon to have 30-40 layers on one piece. Just besure to save before I flatten incase I want to change something..... I sometimes forget that. :o

You have just taken it to a level I hadnt seen. Now I am brainstorming on which ones I have to work with or what I can go shoot to do a cool one or 50..... I have a whole week to myself this week starting tuesday I was looking for things to do.....

If the tut, is handy yea I'd like to read it, may find some shortcuts I'm not using to accomplish the same effects.... "I do that often".

BTW I really like the waterfall one.....

I just went to put it up and noticed it is a 7 MB PDF. That would take all night on my crappy dialup. I'll do a quick search to see if I can find you a link.

When you make your frame just use the distort tool and drag the corners to it perspective. Then add a drop shadow and some gausian blur to the shadow and there it is.

I'll go find that link now. Back in a few.

OK here is a link. The first one is a standard OOB while the second one is on frame warping to make it look like a curled up photograph.

Now see, you're wrong there I want nothing to do with the Escalade. Course I wouldn't be caught dead in a mini-van either I'd take the Explorer over the Expedition too.

Saving before flattening is a must on everything I do. There are many times I will do several different effects to the same photo and it is nice to just be able to turn off different layers to completely change the look of a photo. The only downside to this is the huge files it creates. Working with 15MB D200 RAW images is really taxing on a computer. When converted to TIFF they jump to around 50MB. Start adding layers and soon you have a 300MB file sitting on your HD.

My laptop has a 100GB drive, and I am down to about 15GB free. That doesn't take into consideration all the DVDs I have burnt to free up space.

The waterfall shot was just me trying to make something interesting out of a crappy shot. This was taken during a senior portrait shoot for someone and I just didn't like it.

Here is the one they decided to use. I cant' seem to find the right one. The one that got printed didn't have the little guy sitting on top of the waterfall.
