Hi, This is my first post

Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself.

I am from South Carolina (The Palmetto State).

After much research and shopping, I am the proud owner of a silver 07 F150 4x2 Single Cab, 6.5' bed, Styleside XLT. I looked closely at the Tundra, Titan, Silvarado, and Tacoma.

4.6, tow pkg, limited slip and Audiophile system with MP3.

It was a little difficult finding a Single Cab XLT with the 4.6 in the color I wanted but Bob Bennett Ford had one in the back lot on December 23rd.

Bob Bennett had a good pricing strategy. Invoice minus the 3,000 dollars in rebates on white tags hanging from every car and truck on their lot.

I sold (in 2001) a perfect 1997 F150 4x4 that I missed and now I am happy once again.

Photos to come.

Dave

Welcome aboard! The good ole regular cabs are kinda tough to find anymore.

Just to make sure, you never crashed an '04 F-150 into a garage have you?

See where he said he looked closely at the Tundra, Titan, and Silverado? Dead giveaway that it's not the reincarnated reincarnation of Mattineer. Oh, and he didn't misspell any words.

Regular cabs rock!

By the way, are Audiophile sound systems available in regular cab trucks now? They weren't when I ordered my F-150 back in '05......

Dave, enjoy your truck and be ready for the folks here on the forums, most of them are insane and the ones that aren't are crazy

No. But I'm putting your post and Zaairman's post together and I'm beginning to see that you guys have had a little entertainment going on in the past.

Not sure what that means, but it did make me laugh out loud.

With the exception of the XLs, I saw MP3 players and an "Aux In plug" in almost every 2007 F150 truck. Mine doesn't have the 6 disc changer (maybe it is not actually the Audiophile) but nevertheless, the MP3 player rocks and the amount of MP3 songs I can put on one CD is equal to many CDs. I forgot to mention that I drove the Dodge 1500. To me the 1500 is a beautiful truck on the outside, but the interior just didn't do anything for me. Because they didn't offer an MP3 player, I considered Dodge less thoughtful than Ford overall. The MP3 player in my XLT is pretty clever. The owners manual suggested that I create folders one level deep and organize songs that way. It is a good recommendation. The MP3 player has a "Track" and "Folder" mode. For instance, one of my Folders contains only ZZ Top and another contains only George Strait. In folder mode, I can skip whole folders depending on my listening mood. I like that a lot!

I was really stuck on the Regular Cab. I kept my Crown Victoria, for those times when I need to carry four or five people to dinner. For a while, I thought that I might have to get a SCAB and I would have been OK with that, but I was really fortunate to finally find "my truck" (grin).

I mentioned earlier that I had the Limited Slip Differential. That came with the 3.73 gear ratio. Most if not all of the 07 XLTs that I saw on Bob Bennett's lot had this option. An aboslute "must have" on a 4x2 truck IMO.

Well done Ford!

Dave
