4.6, tow pkg, limited slip and Audiophile system with MP3.

It was a little difficult finding a Single Cab XLT with the 4.6 in the color I wanted but Bob Bennett Ford had one in the back lot on December 23rd.

Bob Bennett had a good pricing strategy. Invoice minus the 3,000 dollars in rebates on white tags hanging from every car and truck on their lot.

I sold (in 2001) a perfect 1997 F150 4x4 that I missed and now I am happy once again.

Photos to come.

sounds like a nice truck. welcome to the forums.

I was looking for the same truck but was unable to find one, so I ordered one last month. Now the dealer is jerking me around on the trade so I most likely will cancel the order and keep the lightning a little longer.

ordered a reg cab blue metalic pearl with 373 posi and the 4.6 xlt

that ford dealer is messing with me so I will most likely cancel next week .

Have you checked out the fx-2 with some of the options. That comes in the extended cab with some nice bells and whistles. only five colors to choose from, better shocks, front valance and other options include leather seats and the flow through console. that is one nice truck and not much more than the xlt. That may be what I order instead and from a diff. dealer.

FX2, very nice. I didn't see a single FX2 on a lot or advertised anywhere, but I was aware of it. I would have had to look very close at the FX2 if I did find one.

You have more patience than I do, seeing that you are willing to "order" exactly what you want. That is great! Maybe someday I will be able to say: I ordered it from the factory (grin).

Before the end of the year I would have bought anything close to what I wanted, for tax reasons but was unable to find anything. But delivery is only several months and my current truck is still a blast to drive. so the wait will not be to bad.

I understand fully. The next time the car buying bug bites me, I should consider ordering it, if I cannot find one on the lot.

Bob Bennett had/has an 06 Dark Stone SCab XLT at invoice minus $5000 in rebates (until 1/02/07). The truck listed for 31K + change. The white tag in the windshield had $23,3xx on it. It was a flareside and had the deep center console and back up sensors. I started on that truck, but finally decided to "hold out" for a single cab, which is what I really wanted. The single cab still has two back doors that swing out for acces to the room behind the seats. That is cool too.

Missed the game but like the garnit and black.

I visited Ben Satcher too, but they didn't have the truck I wanted. Nice folks though.

good to met you!
