How many people have their user settings to allow for a pop up message when you have an incoming PM? Just curious b.c ive sent some PMs like half a year ago, and some havent even been looked at.

So to my knowledge, there are three options
Pop up notification
Email notification
Nothing happens, but you have to look at the box in the corner.

Yah im just curious to see who is using what, or kinda a wake up call for some people if they didnt know the options were out there.

 

I have pop up and email notification. The PM's may have been looked at, but the member didn't click on the box to let you know. That's happened to me before.

In the upper r/h corner of any screen, where there is a little gray box that says -

Doesn't the word private messages, and the number 0 change color and number when you get a pm ???

So thats all the notification you see if you dont have any turned on is that the 0 goes to a 1

 

Yes....it gets darker. But believe it or not....some people don't notice it.

I need to turn that notification on. I got a PM from Brewdude several weeks ago, but never noticed. He finally had to mention it in a post for me to wake up...

 

I've got mine on pop up. Problem is, I only get PMs from people 4 people on here who also have my instant messenger names and my phone number.

 

Mine is set so I get a little pop up thingy. Nice little feature, because on another site I visit, it doesnt notify you at all, you just have to notice the bold number up in the corner, and I overlook that quite a bit.

Only thing about that pop up thing is whenever I go back to the forum index after visiting a forum, the notification pops up again. Bothers the shizz outta me.
