New mattress help

Well, my dad's getting me what I need for Christmas. A new mattress and boxspring. He told me today we're gonna try this place, they're in a few different states. Anyone ever bought one from here? Any suggestions or what to look for? This is my first mattress shopping experience. My room is only big enough for a full size mattress. Thanks guys and gals!!

We just purchased a Simmons BeautyRest. Pillow top, we went for the soft. Ours was a king size for $1800 from Gardner White. What a difference! Our old mattress was 12 years old. Remember you get what you pay for...

I would recommend going to a store and trying some out. You will be able to decide what you like and you don't have to spend a fortune to get a good mattress and springs.

Could not agree more. A year ago, my wife INSISTED we were getting a new mattress and I thought I would scare her off by saying "ya know, I have to have a king and those are REALLY spendy".... well guess what....Instead of spending $500.00 for a POS, we bought the same mattress and box springs as fordman for $1657.00 a year ago and I would spend twice that for the same one again. I thought I was just getting old when I rolled outta bed and felt so stiff. THE NEXT DAY ALL stiffness gone. Still the same today. I could not give any mattress or the $ spent a higher recommendation!

We've bought a few mattresses from the original mattress factory and I think they're just of good a quality as some of your bigger brands like Sealy and others.

I understand you get what you pay for, but in some instances, manuf purposely over price to give the illusion of quality. The ones from original mattress factory have held up just as long and been just as comfortable as any of the other brands we've bought and spent a lot of money on.

We have a Select Comfort, which they now advertise as the Sleep Number Bed. We've had it for 12 years and it is absolutely the best mattress we have ever owned. When it's time for a new one we'll be going with Select Comfort again!

I won't mention what I spent on a mattress.

I'll just say if mattresses were automobiles, I have a Lamborghini sitting in my bedroom.

Anyone have any idea what those Select Comfort mattresses run? WMR? The concept, in and of itself, makes total sense to me... I'm not in the market for one but, I know my wife and I have talked about it several times...

So Raoul what brand do you have,we are also in the new bed market but I don't want to spend a whole lot if I can't get to try it out first.I don't think you can tell if it is going to be any good to you actually test drive it.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't know. We've had it a few years and my wife changes the sheets so I never get to see the label. I'll peek under there tonight.

I know I always look forward to sleeping in my own bed. Haven't slept on a mattress more comfortable. And that's not just my opinion. I have heard great comments about the brand I bought from the milkman, mailman, UPS driver and the cable guy.

It's a king and think it was about $3500 out the door.

We looked at the SC a few years back just for the heck of it...very pricey but when I need a new one I'll probably get it anyway.

Go to Sam's Club. We just purchased a Sealy Posturpedic Queen set with the pillow-top (mattress and box springs) for under $600. It is a very comfortable high quality set, and only costs about a third of what the mattress chains are sellin the same set for......
