On a side note, get the truck mods done NOW! It'll be all over when the second ring is on her finger.

Return the ring and get a nice HD plasma and some new toys. It will make you happier.

hahaha, don't listen to the tv thing...get an hd plasma. j/k

it's a big respect thing if you ask the parents. I did it over dinner with them (they knew and were waiting for it the entire dinner) but another guy I know casually walked up to his girls dad and said "is it cool if we get married?" and 22 years later they are still together.

Congratulations and may everything work out for you two

I asked her old man before I got engaged. It's a nice, traditional touch. Of course, if he says "no" what do you do then? Maybe take dzervit's advice.....

the guy who just casually asked her dad and is still married with two kids (one adopted one theirs) asked her to marry him like four times and it was more like a casual "will you marry me?" "no" "come on!" "i said no" "just marry me" "FINE!" and the loving couple is still going strong. hahahaha

Get the truck mods NOW!!!!!

I am having a hell of a time getting them now. Gotta get approval through the wife before any purchases are made. I like to call her the in house financial advisor.

On another note, best of luck to you.

You will regret that line of thinking someday.

I wish we had got married on Christmas.
I wish my wife was born on Christmas.
I wish they celebrated Valentines Day and Mothers Day on Christmas.

Everytime I turn around I'm scrambling for a card and a 'thoughtful' gift or gesture that is more 'thoughtful' than the last one.

This has been going on for twentynine years !

Thank goodness on our first Christmas I got her an ironing board.
At least I aimed low and had room for improvement.

Oh, and I did wrap the ironing board, which was kind of funny because the legs were sticking out. :santa:
