Got Snow???

We don't:

Sunset today.

This is winter on the Left Coast in LA LA land.

While gorgeous, it can get boring due to lack of variety. (It didn't even rain like it was supposed to do).

I want a White Christmas . . .

:santa:

Well it was almost 60 here today in Maryland.

No hint of snow...I think Old man Winter is running late. This global warming stuff is pretty nice.

The closest thing to "Christmasy" is if anyone happens to decorate the exterior of their house . . .

Some folks a few blocks over did a nice set-up with the centerpiece being a very large tree they set up in the front yard:

It has to be about 20 to 25 feet tall. It's real, and it's elaborately decorated. It's hard to make out on such low res pix, but there are about eleventy kabillion lights, and lots of knick-knacks. Each of the "*****" hanging are a cluster of many lights (which you can sort of make out here)

It's even more stunning when it's dark out but those pix came out to be nothing but a blur.

Folks decorating their homes in this town . . . well, there isn't a lot of it, and there seems to be less and less each year.

Seems even businesses this year have almost no decorations. Exteriors of stores and offices are almost zip.

Don't know if it's political correctness or maybe a bad business year (no wait, it couldn't possibly be that last one, this is the best economy ever!!!! . . . at least that's what I read in one of the other threads.)

Pretty much every house in my neighborhood has lights up (myself included). Usually starts right after Thanksgiving. It's very Christmasy here!:santa:

Nearly sixty degrees here in Cleveland today; went up on the roof and cleaned the chimney to the woodburning stove. 40's and 50's are forecast for the rest of the week. I guess.

No snow yet in Jersey. I only had to use the 4 wheel drive once last year. Seems like when I needed a 4 wheel drive, I didn't have one. Now that I have one, never get to use it....

Christmas is always better back east. New York City is always nice the way it looks and feels. Here, the only town (downtown/business) area that does it up really nicely is Beverly Hills, which is ironic and weird. Ironic because B.H. is mostly Iranian any more (the residential part at least), and weird because it's just a creepy place. I dislike going there, always makes me feel odd. Was there last night shopping with a friend (she was buying crap, not me . . .read my sig!) and couldn't wait to leave.

For the past few weeks we had temps pushing the 90s, last week in the 80s, this week in the 60s (rain yesterday but only windy and chilly today)
and right now it's 43. Love it!!!!!

Pssh.... Last night when I got off the plane, the weather here was worse than it was in Missouri. I went from 65 and sunny to cold and rainy... Today was nice though. Went down to main street, and EVERYBODY there was wearing jeans and a coat I had on shorts and flip flops.

You can come visit me Kobi. We have snow, it's been white around here for several weeks now. Bring some long undies though...it might have warmed up to 25° today and it's about 14° as I type!!

We got ice a couple of weeks ago, with trace amounts of snow. The next two days, it got back above 60 degrees, and has stayed such since. Yesterday, I even had to run the A/C in the truck on the way home from church--it was 80*.....TOO HOT 4 CHRISTMAS...

I wish it would snow here for Christmas. Wld-Mtn-rose: I command you to send your snow to us in Texas!!! (and enjoy the blistering heat for a few days.)

We have snow and the lakes are frozen. But it's quite warm out it's only +2 today. Light jacket weather. Kinda sucks. I like the -20 degree temps. I don't like the -40 temps that sucks.
