well last summer i broke a headphone plug off into the jack of my dell 30 gig mp3 player
i ended getting it out with pins
however the jack is stripped and i have to push on the headphone plug to play out both sides
the store i called claims they can fix it for 50 dollars
is it worth it since it cost 300 in the first place?
its 30 gigs and has an LED screen
if they cant fix it
is 250 dollars worth it for a new 30 gig ipod?
i really like the black, the color screen, and the idea of being able to watch movies on it

post your opinions on it plz

Kinda depends on how much you will use it.

I own the 30gig iPod video (white) and I use it everyday for a number of different things. I have only great things to say about this device. So much support for this. Accessories, free content, car stereo interfaces, etc.... I use it while working out, at work during breaks, in the truck, and watching video while on flights. I take it everywhere.

Also if you check out applestore.com you can find refurbished ipods for 179.00 and they are even offering free shipping. This is where I bought mine and it looked brand new and packaged like new.

I have a old 30 gig Ipod, the battery is dying. I just bought a creative labs zen yesterday but I haven't had enough time to check it out but I think I am going to like it better than the ipod.

50 dollars is a little high to fix a audio jack. If you know a little bit about soldiering you could fix it yourself. $250 a good deal for an 30 gig ipod. I paid $200 for a 4 gig nano.

 

ah i love the way the new ipods are
theyre nice n big with a 2.5 inch color screen and all of them play videos and pics
the nanos dont =\ n theyre too small for me

im also checkin out the MS zune which also plays videos, anyone have one of these?
same 30 gig music pics n video playing for 230 dollars instead of 250 for an ipod

 

I have a 30g Ipod. I love being able to watch movies or videos. I think it is really made well. As for the MS Zune , I still think that Apple will make a better product because MS likes to just make money. Apple actually has a really good product and they really stand behind it.
