She's in a 'burb and after moving INTO the city you'll forget she even exists. Chi-town rules.

You can't go wrong with Chicago -- especially if you like "chipmunky" Irish girls with a slight drinking problem......

But beware -- you are going to have SERIOUS culture shock moving from Grand Forks to Chicago. The amount of traffic will probably be your biggest adjustment. I grew up in Minneapolis, and everytime I've gone to Chicago I've been amazed at how much more traffic they have there than we had back in the Twin Cities!

Grand Forks -- oooof! I went to college in Moorhead, so I know what it's like up that way, especially in the winter........

yeah my buddys telling me it takes him an hour to get like 20 miles to work. that doesnt even sound right to me, should take like 25 minutes. He works with a guy that drives 2.5 hours to work every day, that is like working half way across the state.

I graduated from MSUM in moorhead, and its like 35 degrees outside which is awesome for this time of year up here

I live in Indiana, but my business is in the City. Great place and I think it is the best "large" city in the US. Some problems of course, but man, to see the women along Lake Shore Drive in the summer....makes the traffic almost bearable.

I think most of the Biotech firms are up in the North Burbs...The Schaumburg-Oak Brook area, so concentrate your search there.

I have been robbed at gun point twice in my life.

Both times it was in Chicago.

The longest traffic jam I ever saw was 26 miles long. It was in the Chicago / Gary metro area.

The toll roads and fuel prices nickel and dime you to death.

If you have your heart set on moving there, I would at least stick to the 'burbs.

Thats good advice, I personally wouldnt live any were East of 290/355.
