Just Saw The Shuttle Blast Off!!

Just saw liftoff from the beach here in hilton head! it was so awsome, it looked like someone shot off a flare gun from a boat a mile off the coast lit up the whole sky. Hopefully everything will go as planned and these guys will return to earth safely with no problems

Cool. I bet that was an awesome sight to see. I get to see the first flight of the F-35 at work next week. That'll be cool too.

I watched it too. Via NASA.com Pretty cool to watch from NASA TV. I was down at Kennedy Space Center for spring break, and watched a rocket go up. Very intense stuff to see. The tour was neat, the kids enjoyed it too.

Too cool....

For those of us wanting to see a shuttle blast off... our missions are numbered! The shuttle is scheduled for moth ***** in the coming years making way for the new generation of manned space flight...

I'm proud of that crew. It takes alot of guts to do what they do. Five rookies and strap yourself onto 4.5 million pounds at liftoff. That makes me proud to be an American. To bad North Korea and Iran isn't going Oh S--t

We stood out in our back yard and watched it. We could see the boosters (the white rockets on the side) separate and then came in to see it on TV. The camera that they had on the external fuel tank was unbelievable.

I am only about 35 miles away. It looked like the sun was coming up when it fired up! Awesome!!!

I found this picture. This shows you how much it lights up the sky. It was almost 9:00 when it went up and it was completely dark out.
