We were able to see it down here in South Miami. It was low on the eastern horizon and it looked like a very large bottle rocket from here.
Very Cool!!!

Ive seen one or two shuttles take off, and unfortunatley saw they streak in the sky when the shuttle crashed a few years back discovery i think.

Depending on which direction they were going, I used to have an awesome view of the launch from my front yard in south Georgia (7 miles from the Florida border on I-95). I saw it take off from Orlando as well. I went to the Cape once to watch a launch, but it was scrubbed.
