Not trying to sound like a killjoy or jerk but does anyone else see a problem with that?

Wal-mart sells an item and then gets one back later that is broken. They have to process the return and incur costs associated with the return.

It may work but if they are smart they'll scan the serial # on the box and on the unit itself. Personally I couldn't do something like that...it's just dishonest in my book. I'd rather eat the loss and buy another one or complain to MS about the poor quality.

well vader im not saying its the best of idea, but typically they scan the barcode on the xbox at point of sale, and then just scan the generic bar code to return it. and btw i worked at target for 3 years, so i also know that they dont loose anything on it, since all the consoles, and most of the games are vendered out, meaning they dont make but about 40 bucks on a console, and microsoft or sony or nintendo sets the prices. I remember seeing that for every xbox 360 stolen, target has to sell 31 to recoupe the loss, so you do the math on how much they actually get off of one unit.

Like I said I'm not calling you or anyone out...I just don't think I could do it. There is cost associated with returning and processing the unit too.

Whatever works for you guys I just don't think I could do it....not trying to be "holier than thou"...

LMAO. I feel sorry for you. After I fixed it I came down with a dam stomach virus and I have been sick for last two days. I hope I'll be able to go to work tomorrow, but I don't know. This junks a mess. I might pickup one of those helper fans at best buy. It couldn't hurt. I do think a manufacturer should be required to put 1 year warranty on something like this or at least put a huge sign up that says "90 day warranty" next to it.

Well it didn't work out. I turned it on today and the 3 red lights showed up again. So I took the tape out and posted it on ebay. On a brighter note my WII shipped a week early. So I'll have games tomorrow night. If I can catch the UPS guy. I finally go back to work tomorrow after being sick with stomach virus from hell for last two days. Why do people on ebay ask so many question about you ending the auction early? I have got like 8 people wanting me to end it and it hasn't been up but like 3 hours. Its really weird.
