mom's F-250 king ranch still gets the throne... you'd think, the oldest son, the nicest truck would get the second spot- but no, the 18 yr old brother with the POS tacoma gets it, and now the 16 yr old bro in my old jeep gets it.

Last year's was 14' tall whatever green piney thing. This year we're going bigger. Little bit of advise: If your kids are anything like me, then don't hand them $50 and tell them to go find a tree...

a 25' tree makes for some interesting lighting, standing, and decorating situations-
we build a stand every year for the tree, well we use a mfr'd stand for a 14' tree, then add kickers- lighting, we wire the top 15' before we stand it up-
decorating, the nice ornaments ( the handblown glass ones from germany, france when we lived there) go on the 10' under branches, and then all the rest get chucked up into the tree and hope they hook up--- so all those gay apples that the four of us got thru grade school every year (yep thats a hell of a lot of plastic apple ornaments) adorne the top half. the angel (voted on yearly by the family as the most hideous school made christmas ornament) goes on with our lightbulb changer for the ceiling fan 28' up-
