The most unrealistic movie scenes
The most unrealistic movie scenes
I was wondering what are the most unrealistic movie scenes you have ever seen. Like on movies where the story is good but there are those 1 or 2 scenes that are just totally unbelievable.
The reason I was asking is I was watching the movie "The Chase" this morning in the hotel room. I've seen it before but never really thought much about it. The movie is ok, but definately not the best movie I have ever seen. A car chase with a hostage in southern California is definately believable as it could really happen. Toward the end, the characters get attached to each other and "do it" in the drivers seat while driving a BMW close to 100 mph on a freeway being chased by dozens of police cars. Now this scene is done in slow motion and they never watch the road during the scene but yet they avoid every other car on the road and never crash. This scene I think ruins the whole movie.
Any other unrealistic movie scenes?

i bow before you oh wiseguy of the wise A$$es
IM NOT WORTHY!!..
Plenty of unrealistic scenes from the movies over the years.
Heck -- just watch any James Bond flick and you'll see dozens of them!
The thing that really irks me for some reason is when you see a movie that's set in say, 1961, and then in the background you see a 1964 Impala parked at the curbside......

i understand the part about not looking at the road but i boned a chick in my mustang going 80 on i-95 AND finished. it was a little nerve racking but totally kicked ***!!!!
I was thinking, Speed is another movie that is just unrealistic in many ways. One scene at the end where the bus hits the airplane, you can clearly see the plane blow up at least 4-5 seconds before the bus ever hits it. Also how in the heck is a city bus going to get enough speed to jump a 50' gap in an interstate.
The new Casino Royale film where Bond flips the DB9.
I've swerved harder than that in my truck and never even broke sweat.
Actually, I saw a program on the making of the film. No matter what they did, they could not flip the Aston normally. In the end, they had to resort to the giant nitrogen cannon underneath it and CGI it out on the final edit.
I have to say that I enjoyed the rest of the film but I wonder if Aston Martin are pissed at the way the car was portrayed in that scene?
It would have been better if Bond had stolen or jumped into another car for that shot and rolled that one to keep the plot device going.
