Here's a couple that chew!

Lone Wolf Mcquade: The scene where the k-5 Blazer is buried in a pit by a back hoe. He wakes up in the Blazer, gets the motor to fire and activates the 8-71 blower with a\c style clutch(which was real oddly enough)and jumps the truck out of the hole. Also the whole "Man if you adjust the pulse width on the injectors a little it will run "10's" for sure" and the nitrous oxide tank causing the little turd box to explode in the flatulent and rediculous movie.

Some times knowing about chemistry and engines makes it hard to watch movies. oh well!

The reason I was asking is I was watching the movie "The Chase" this morning in the hotel room. I've seen it before but never really thought much about it. The movie is ok, but definately not the best movie I have ever seen. A car chase with a hostage in southern California is definately believable as it could really happen. Toward the end, the characters get attached to each other and "do it" in the drivers seat while driving a BMW close to 100 mph on a freeway being chased by dozens of police cars. Now this scene is done in slow motion and they never watch the road during the scene but yet they avoid every other car on the road and never crash. This scene I think ruins the whole movie.

Any other unrealistic movie scenes?
I think the highway is supposed to be somewhat cleared by that point in the movie. But given that Kristin Whatsername is majorly hot, anything involving nudity, sex or even lu****l conversation centered upon her is enough to get my full, disbelief-suspended attention

But back to the subject at hand....the movie Torque is full of *incredibly* unbelievable CGI. I bought it due to the motorcycle theme, but after viewing it I had to check the production info to determine who to write to see about getting that 90 minutes of my life back....

Matrix II if you watch in the highway chase scene, when trinity is on the bike, she swerves to her left to avoid a cop car coming at her, then right after that the camera angle is on the bikes back fender, and the cop car has dissapeared in a matter of half a second.

Dont believe me? watch it....

Other then that Gone in 60 seconds where elenore flies over like 20 car lengths.

While we're on the Matrix theme here...
The thing that really got me about that scene is the fact that the cop cars actually keep up with her. Anyone who knows anything about streetbikes knows that a Ducati (i think shes on a 996??) could seriously outrun a cop car on any given day...

some other scenes:
1)any rambo combat scene. apparently enemy forces have incredibly horrendous aim, with the exception of shoulder grazing bullets. they always hit shoulders.
2) the scene in "the Transporter" where the dude jumps the car and it barrel rolls in mid air while he reaches out the window to grab the package (i forget what it is) that is dangling from the crane, then lands back on his wheels and drives on. come on......
3) The entire first half of Behind Enemy Lines with Owen Wilson. the heat-seeking missle misses him then manages to turn around a couple times to go back for more. last time i checked once a missle loses the heat signature in its viewable range its toast. Or, for that matter, the fact that they try to portray owen wilson as a heroic survival fight for whats right kinda guy.

but the winner for me of the most unrealistic scene is actually a tie:

a) between Air Force One and the whole aircraft to aircraft transfer system and the subsequent crash into the ocean (that was SOOOO badly done).
and
b) Air Force One ( i think?? some help?) where the escorting F-15 pilot has the amazing ability to perfectly place his aircraft between an incoming missile and the president's plane. I'm no physics professor, but operating in a 3 dimensional plain and doing that would be about as likely as that car flipping scene i mentioned earlier.

How about any movie where they are having sex in a pool or hot tub and make it seem like the best thing in the world... LOL.

I don't know the name of the movie but it's the one where two planes brought down the Twin Towers. No way in hell is that possible.

I think that's "Executive Decision." The best Steven Seagal movie ever. He's dead within the first 15 minutes I think.

Now that you mention it that movie is pretty craptacular too. In Air Force One a guy jumps out of a C-130 hooked to a cable. He then pulls a superman and flies into the open door of the 747. Once inside he hooks the cable up and slides everyone back into the C-130. Utter crap

Now that I think about it any movie about an airplane could make this list.

I was watching Die Hard II last night and thought the same thing, how could Bruce Willis single handley take out an army of terriorist with a page of background in CIA traning and yet the US Army and the local police SWAT team could not handle them with dozens of men and firepower?

While its not a movie scene its the whole movie plot that can seem unrealistic
