Don't get too used to it. Last night at 11:00 I was driving around with all of the windows down, sunroof open wearing a t-shirt it was over 70*. Within 24hours the temperature will drop to 25*. It's heading your way.

Yeah...we're supposed to get really stong winds tomorrow and then the highs all next week only in the lower 40's. I'm kinda looking forward to it, until February. Then I'll be ready for spring again.

Winter is definitely here for us in the Northwest!! This is my hubby clearing the driveway on Monday. We've gotten an additional few inches of the white stuff since then, a little over a foot I guess now and the temperature hasn't made it over 20° for several days...brrr...

While it is understood that I love the picturesqueness of snow, it's apparent that I don't actually have to live in it.

What's up with the manual labor thing?!?! In the sub-freezing cold no less?!?!?!

And if it has to be done, why is your husband doing it? Our wonderful President (what's his name) said we're suppose to hire illegal aliens to do the work we don't want to. And besides, do you really need to clear a path for your truck? Can't the truck drive thru snow?

Oh, man, the reality is never as nice as the dream. I mean, seriously, that does not look pleasant.

My husband is working because I refused to touch the snowblower this year. I was here by myself last winter and had to do all the snow removal myself, this year I sit inside with a nice cup of cocoa and maybe venture out now and again to snap a photo

Illegal aliens? They tend to be in short supply in our neck of the woods, besides the hubby is unemployed right now, what else is he going to do??

Yea, the truck could drive through the snow, problem is we have 2 steep little hills to traverse in our driveway and it makes things much easier if you don't let the snow and ice build up on them.

It's not as bad as all that. Once you make a couple of trips down the driveway with the snowblower you've worked enough to be quite warm despite the weather!

Well, maybe not, but I'd just as well want someone else to do it. I mean, that's why God created hired help, right? I can certainly understand having him do it if for nothing else than the entertainment value for you.

I need to experience living in snow I guess. Can I come up there for Christmas and stay in the downstairs apartment? I won't be in the way, just want to see what living in snow is like. A week ought to do it. I can drink coffee and watch your husband clear snow. :santa:

I guess hired help would be nice if you had the income to hire them! Right now the hubby is the hired help!!

Sure, come on up. We can sit in the nice warm house, drink hot coffee and laugh as he makes 6 trips up and down the 500 foot driveway with the 24" snowblower!! And when he's done we can sled down the driveway on a toboggan!! But really, if you want to experience snow you need to pick up a snow shovel at least once...
