Password manager?

Can anyone recommend a good password manager application? I am not looking for something that integrates into the web browser and automatically populates login forms, rather a simple Windows-based standalone application that uses good encryption. The spreadsheet I am using to store usernames and passwords is getting a bit unwieldy (is that a word?) not that I have reached 125 entries! TIA!

I haven't used this, but I read some good things about it when I was looking for a program to secure my thumb drive.

All my passwords are managed by a guy in Ethiopia.

I figured if he could trust me to deposit 1.7 million dollars of his money, the least I could do is trust him to manage my passwords.

Other suggestion: Get PGP or other desktop security program and encrypt a simple text file (or Excel or whatever you like) with your info. Plus with PGP you'd get the benefit of sending encrypted e-mails, self-extraction exe files, blah blah blah... more security bang for your buck if you feel the need.

D that doesn't help much if he needs management rather than encryption...

On a side note (that's right I dare to derail Stevo's thread) have you tried GPG? It is on my list but haven't gotten around to it.

Sure it does, he just needs better Excel skills and I think they have a "Buy PGP get Excel for Dummies" deal.

I use a SanDisk thumb drive with all my passwords on it. Even bought one for the wife. She likes having a bunch of pictures on it also.

You just plug it in, (you can also password protect it). Go to you normal websites that you log into, and it will save passwords to the thumbdrive for the next time.

I have my spreadsheet with all my bills and banking info on it, so I can take care of business anywhere, anytime.

At least until your thumb drive decides to shoot craps like mine did two weeks ago. I used mine the same way you do, banking info, passwords, etc. Luckily since I back up monthly, I had only lost that much information.
