Well put BigHersh.... I have a few friends that are close enough to where we call each other by what most would consider "racial slurs." We know that no offense is taken by them and usually they are used in a connotation that makes fun of a particular stereotype. For example... I'm of Irish and Norwegian decent... so they say I'm stupid and a drunk, or something dumb like that. But we'd never go out in a public place and call each other those things. Its all about timing and being in the right situation.

Wow just wow! The only other word I've ever seen stir that type of emotion is a Jewish word.

I understand what you are saying Hersh, but er or a is pretty subjective in spoken english. I hate double standards. Nobody should be using that word in any form if it is that offensive. It is absolutely crazy that the same root word can be the most offensive word in the English (American) language and a term of endearment.

While I understand what Big Hersh stated in his post and agree with to a point I think the word ***** is becoming more widely accepted by young people in this country. The rap artist have basically given permission to hundreds of thousands of young kids, white, black, brown, etc. to use it at will and freely and not worry about it at all…

Wonder if any rappers will feel bad if some young white or brown teen gets shot to death by the wrong black person for using the word ***** like “what’s up my friend?”.

I think Krammer went a bit nuts but I see nothing wrong with him using the word ***** since its acceptable to do so now and for the past 10 years or so…

gotta side with big hersh on this one here too...context is crucial. Like it or not, the politically correct movement ain't goin anywhere, so if using racial slurs is your taste then it best be done when you aren't liable to get a free street corner dental re-arrangement.

goin thru highschool, i was friends with one of the very few black dudes in my grade, and same thing about the context. he call all of us white dudes "white boy" or other crap like that, and we in turn called him *****. but teachers still boiled over if they overheard the white kids calling him that...

I also have a couple asian friends whom i refer to as, in one case, that crazy chinese chick... and in turn im the stupid hick. mutual degredation if you will.

In kramer's setting tho, delivering to a mass mixed-audience, i think its entirely uncalled for. If it was meant to be some kind of a long drawn out sarcasm of some sort it failed horribly. The white supremecy movement is gonna name him man of the year.

All this reminds me of a story my uncle told me once;

A State Trooper was before the judge with the arrested explaining his case. Among the many charges against this person was vulgar language towards the Trooper.

Judge: What did he call you?
Trooper: He called me a MotherF......
Judge: I will not allow this, this is a term of endearment for his race in the streets, is there anythig else?
Trooper (as he turns to walk out of the court): No MotherF......

I loved this story

That was hilarious.

They deserved to be called out... one way or another.

"Aint never had no show or nuttin'"... Good choice of words there buddy..
How many times did he say "That was un-called for"?

Leave the *SHOW* if you don't like the *SHOW* leave... that's all it is.

I agree with some of you.. Every time in my life that I was called a "cracka".. I turned it right around and call them a "*****"...

Yeah, He went a little overboard with it... but it was still funny.

Funny as hell. Wish I was there to really see what happened, not just the snip of vid they showed. The heckler might have been a real **** and deserved it. Let's face it, the best way to **** someone off is to go straight to ripping on their race, appearance, or woman. If people only listened to what their momma taught them we wouldn't have this crap... if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all...

I'm apparently the "Whitest Man In America" because if someone called me a "cracka" (no one ever has) I wouldn't have even realized it was a reference to my ethnicity......

Wow...that was quick. Well it's the same one that you can see on the news. Jerry Seinfeld was on Letterman last night and they had him on by satelite. Although, I'm not sure if it was taped or not.

I know there will always be a double standard but yes he was out of line but for the people that walked out they should have had their mouths shut and leave.
