One can't help but wonder if such gaudy pretentious displays at one's home is the purview of Americans, because honestly, I don't recall seeing such displays anywhere else I've been (commercial exhibitions excluded).

It's a testament, to be sure, but not a good one.

Call me crazy ( as I know some will ) but I'm thinking about getting one of the controllers and doing it at my house this year. The web site says its a 2 - 3 weeks wait before it ships, but I'll be driving right past the place next week. I may just stop in and see if I can get one...

talk about a lifetime trying to put together all those lights though. How do you know what lights to hook up to what??

I would imagine it comes with some sort of instructions.... Hey, you should get one for next year!! U watchin the game?

Yeh, me too man. But they now have pre- programmed ones so you can pick the song you want, plug all your lights in and have at it. I might go with one of those and then program my own later on and add to it. The 16 channel package is just over $400. I emailed them to see if I could stop by and pick one up rather than wait the 2 - 3 week shipping delay....see what happens!!!

That music is Trans Siberian Orchestra, its the best christmas concert you will ever go to!!
the house is cool, but the laser/fire show they put on in that concert is WAY better!
