IE 7, should i download
I just installed IE7 this morning ONLY because I had Firefox installed to my thumbdrive to use it here at work, and I forgot it this morning. I was really missing the tabbed browsing.
I may be used to Firefox but man so far, Firefox owns IE7. Layout, user friendliness, plugins, etc.

glad i asked. seems there is a problem? i have the computer set to ask me if i want to istall.....it is on standby till i let it....any other words of wisdom? one of the members mentioned not being on the site you think you are on? is that a phising thing? ei like you think you are on a banks site and it isn't? even if you put in the correct address? thanks....
As far as the current problems, the sites I posted are all the info I have. As far as the old problem with IE 5 & 6. There was a site some time ago that had a link showing what would happen. That link in IE would take you to a address on their server that said it was www.microsoft.com. It just wasn't. The same site in Netscape (at that time) would show the true address, not Microsoft's.
As I stated before, all software will have bugs and security problems, especially with so many people trying to hack into things to get yours and others information. The big question is how you handle those problems. Microsoft seems to handle these as if they are no big deal, much too often.

There are hundreds there for you to chose from. Also themes. And plug-ins.
P.S. Now you can also take a look at Thunderbird. (email client)

I have tried Forte and some others, just like Xnews for binaries.
Right now I am using Thunderbird 2.0b1 with no problems. It does have a bit of a cleaner look than the 1.5 version.
You can also download Firefox or Thunderbird 3.0b1 from their ftp server. Haven't been that brave yet, although I may try it.
