Ford Edge

I've got to tell you I like the looks of this thing. I'm leary of a first year vehicle but this thing has me intrigued. My wife and I are still trying to get her a new vehicle and we are considering this the Explore, Honda Pilot and Odyssey and the Toyota SUVs....

argh the choices..

It isn't bad, but why would you chose that over the Escape? I have never been in a Honda Pilot, but a neighbor has one and it looks pretty good. I still like Explorers too.

I like it. Bet I won't fit.

Acutally, I'm going to wait for the Lincoln version. The Tan Terror is getting up there in years... then again, I hardly drive it now. Ahhhh might as well keep the pile and pay it off.

Well if the quality at launch is anywhere near what it is on the Fusion then it will be a winner. I'm betting it will be because its built on the basic Fusion chassis.

It's not something I would buy, I don't like this new trend toward the big chrome grills, if it wasn't for that it might look ok. I'd prefer an Escape or Toyota 4-Runner.

IMO, the Escape is too small, and the 4Runner is too Japanese.

My wife needed a bigger car before the baby came, and I was going to get her one of these, but as usual, they delayed production about a million times and I still haven't seen one. Alas, I have since quit the dealership and bought a Honda.

I'm confused, the 4-Runner is too Japanese and that makes the Honda. . .what then?

Go look at the 2006 MDX's. You can get a LOADED MDX Touring, with Navigation and DVD for $34,000... I'm just pissed I didn't wait. I paid $40K for mine, with no DVD or Navi... The Pilot is the MDX's slightly bigger, less-fancy, younger cousin... A loaded Pilot will still tap you for $32,000- might as well upgrade...

Yes Matt, I know it's an ugly "Jap" vehicle that no one wants...

Thanks Hersh I'll check it out. For some reason I've always distrusted Mazdas....it is a mazda right? I like the Honda and Toyotas too. It isn't an anti-Japense thing...heck the Edge is built soley in Canada so it ain't an American thing.

We'll definitely add it to the list....thanks..
