Wow-What a Welcome

175 members of the 189th TC, Nebraska National Guard, Norfolk Nebraska returned home from Iraq today. 186 bikes from the patriot Guard Riders had the privelege of escorting them home.

What an honor, to be allowed to see the homecoming given these heroes in the gym of their local community college. To be a part of the procession was an awe inspiring, tearful sight..

Unfortunately not; I was Ride Captain for this one, and coordinating with LEO, trying to get everyone lined up,ready to go, safely really cuts into the time you get to spend socializing and looking at the other bikes.

I will include a shot from July, when we served this same unit by escorting Sgt. Joshua Ford to his final resting place in Pender, NE. Sgt. Ford was a memebr of the 189th, and was lost to an IED explosion.

I was just in Norfolk yesterday looking at trucks. Saw TONS of "Welcome Home" signs and everything, very nice. I didnt even know there was anything going on at the college or I would have checked that out...

What time did they get into Norfolk?
