Everyones Pet Pieves!

figured I'd plant the seed for this one and see where it goes. Whats everyones pet pieves when it comes to what people do to their trucks?

I'll list a few of mine to get started. Keep in mind, not intended to **** any one off, everyone has thier own point of view...

what I cant stand....
  • Lifted trucks with body kits (ground effects) lift it, the make it look lower with ground effects? confused? I think soo..
  • lowered trucks with sidesteps (nerf bars) do you really need help to get into a lowered truck?
  • anything that hooks to the truck via double sided tape... (for instance, those LUND painted plastic cab window coverings.. YUK!)

My biggest pieve is how people drive trucks like they stole em'. People drive up next to me and wat to race a 15 second quater mile like its the coolest thing. A 6000+ pound 4x4 truck is not a race truck, now a lightning of course is quite diffrent, or any of these trucks nearing the 12 second area. I just dont understand it. Ok I take all that back, thats my second peive next to what he said "that damn brake dust, come on ford".

I can't stand trucks, either lifted or lowered (moreso lowered) with 75%+ of the tire sticking out- buy a go-cart if you want that look.

People (usually teens) who want to race at every chance they get, even though I'm in a nice truck and they are in a '74 Datsun 620.

I swear, the crappier the vehicle they have, and the nicer the vehicle you have - the more they want to race you.

i mean, im in a full size pick up, crewcab, 4X4, lifted, on 38's and im still beating these kids, and i prob run a 15-17 1/4th mile.............

Bodylifts w/o gap guards.
Big lifts w/ too small or too skinny tires.
4 cyl w/ duel exhaust
Obnoxiously loud exhaust
Too many chrome stick-on items
The new Dodge Mega-cab(the entire out of proportion truck)

That and not having a damn dead pedal!

My '99 doesn't have one, but the seat is a little higher and is just more comfortable sitting for longer trips.

I hate aftermarket flames and skull crap. I picked up a issue of some truck magazine and it had a truck done up totally in aftermarket flames. Dash, gauges, steering wheel, everything with a flame design was bolted or stuck on. It looked like a autozone clearance rack special.

I like my Lund vent visors, keeps the rain out when the truck sits with the windows cracked open.

Chrome stick on door handle covers, bed covers that just sit on top of the bed and don't cover the side bed trim, single din radio in a double din opening,
lowered 4x4's, when someone cleans a truck and doesn't bother to dress the fender wells or tires then post pics of how clean the truck is... should I go on?
