Whatever the problem I hear he is going into rehab tomorrow, which makes everything okay in the media and the court's eyes.

IBM- I Buy Mac
HP- Help Please

sorry, couldn't resist. I've got a PowerBook for home use and use Dell at work, BIG difference in usability between the Dell at work and Mac at home, I have to restart the comps at work at least twice a day, but my PowerBook hasn't been shut down since I restarted it after the upgrades last week.

Well went with Compaq.
Thanks guys.
I went to Dell again before I left and still couldn't find anything with the same features for less than $900. I only needed/wanted basic computing and web browseing and more entertainment geared.

I set it up last night and have been fighting with it to join the workgroup ever since. So far I'm not liking this XP Media Edition 2002.

Yes I just bought the Dell desktop and got it friday, this laptop is more for my wife. She doesnt do alot. I may get a Mac for myself after the first of the year.

No JT I didn't lie, he buzzed me from his phone. ...

You're right. PC's aren't for the stupid. That's definately the Mac arena. Fortunately I'm a little brighter and know how to Not click "Yes' please install this spyware on my computer when it comes up. I dont ever have to reboot my PC.

With all due respect to K....

Those that espouse the Mac greatness should realize that their stability and security are greatly exaggerated.

The stability comes from a closed hardware base...not 3rd party support.

The security comes from obscurity...macs are less than 1% of the installed user base so the target is less appealing. Recent studies have shown Mac has a ton of security problems that simply haven't been exploited.

Most people who uses macs are also very computer savy and therefore have less problems with their macs. On the other hand, I know tons of people who barely know how to turn their Windows PC on and they have tons of problems with viruses and spyware.

That is correct. I have been virus free ever since I started using Macs. The fact that I place antibiotic pills in the computer thru the cupholder probably helps big time.

I also use Ivory soap when cleaning my hard disk. I find that Ivory is gentler than other harsh soaps.

I prefer the Dove cucumber and green tea. Makes my PC smell nice.
