Chevy Silverado

Chevrolet has finally added the new Silverado to their website. Photo gallery is up for those that might be interested in seeing what the competition is up to.

I can easily say that the Ford looks better even after taking a second look at Chevy.

Looks like they're finally getting away from that "snarled" look they've had the last few years.

Looks like some kind of generic import.

I don't trust it.

Inside is nice but I don't care for the looks outside.

That's the first I've seen the new Silvy all dressed up. I agree, that is hot! Almost as good as the Denali.

edit: Here's the link to the GMC trucks also showing the HD models.

I don't like it. They stole some ideas from other manufacturers.

90* opening rear extracab doors - Nissan Titan
Extracab rear seat power roll down windows - Ford F150
Extra glovebox above the primary one - Dodge Caliber
Basic interior design/shape - Ford F150
Flared front fenders/pickup box - Dodge Dakota
Massive front chrome grille - Nissan Titan
Huge manufacturer emblem smack dab in the middle of tailgate - Ford F150
Taillight design - Dodge Ram

It goes on and on. It looks better than the previous gen I think but guess what? It's still ugly, and it's still a Chevy. I for one would not consider this particular design when purchasing a new truck. I think that this one is going to be just so/so for GM, and it's gonna get them in even bigger trouble. We'll see if I am right a year down the road.

I don't care if they borrowed styling ques from other trucks. Take their best features and add it your truck! great idea. They all do it. Otherwise trucks would never improve.

I will give it consideration when I buy in a few months.
