Computer Help Fast!!!!

I need help and i need it really fast! So how when I was searching slaves and that stuff for a school project type thing my computer got some kind of annoying spyware attached to it. And its only www.yahoo.com that it is attached to. A blinking thing down on my lower tool bar says Critical error system. I click it and it goes to www.virusbuster.com. It is some bogus virus scanner type thing. You scan and then it won't let you do anything about it whithout buying it. So I went to the free yahoo Norton spyware scan. it found 42 virus and I deleted them all. It still has that annoying thing. I click to go to my homepage(www.yahoo.com) and it takes me to www.theupdatedsecurity.com and then if I click ok it transfer me to www.malwarewhip.com. So I click on Internet explorer properties and my homepage still says www.yahoo.com. But it is still going to those stupid sites. So my question is how do I get rid of them? I need so sugestions fast. Oh I have also went through and cleared my temporary files, history, and cookies. So if anyone can help PLEASE help me!

Try here for spybot.

And here for adaware.

Use both, I have had each miss stuff the other has caught.

download Adware and spybot, update them both.

Power off and reboot in safe mode run both in full deep scans

Have a nice day...

(this wont fix it all but its a good start)

Is there no free scans? I found what I need to delete(Trojon) but I have to buy it and I don't want to buy anything. Do they have any free scans WITH a removal program?

How do you remove the threats with this spyware doctor? It says that you can but I don't see where it says remove. It just says fix and continued but then it gives you the stats and under virus removed it says 0.

Its not spyware, it's a Trojan. As of last weekend adaware and spybot did nothing for it. McAfee (sp) (not my computer I think they suck) just released definitions that would take care of it on Thursday.

I tried Symantec's instructions for a manual removal, but the info was outdated/incorrect.

You're gonna need a good anti-virus program.

You could just get a Mac. Or you could stop using IE. I guarantee most, if not all, of your problems would be gone if you did that.

I don't think good equals free in this case, but it might. Try http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ or http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html (pretty slow). Get the newest definitions and run the scan in safe mode.
