Not as much as I want and more than I deserve.

That's right where I am...

I thank God for mine, every day.
I was where I am, with no degree. I have worked, and I'm still working my butt off to get the "credientials" to back up the experience and the position. That way, if I ever find myself, "downsized" I can go somewhere elsse and get decent, equal or maybe even better pay.

AAS
BS
PMP
MBA

I'm just pissed at myself for taking an almost 2-year break. Had I listened to the wife (God, it pains me to say that) I'd be really close to completing, or done with my MBA by now, but I needed a "break"...

Guys & gals, if you're going to school; don't stop until you get as much education as you think you're going to need. Don't let kids stop you; that's the excuse I used (Dec. 2003 - Sept 2005), and that's what it was, an excuse...

Better to have it, and not need it, than to need it and not have it...

That's what I keep telling myself...
My job pays $5,000/year in educational reimbursement. With the money there (for the grabbing) to go to college, one would have to be a dumb-**** not to take it!

I used to think a degree wasn't necessary, but, as you get older, and you see friends with the same bills you have get RIF'd, and end up losing their house, car, ruined credit, lost marriage, etc., and you hear they've gone from a near 6 figure salary to being a butcher at Albertson's, it brings things into perspective, and you realize you need to be viable across more than just one area. I was pigeon-holed for the longest (Telecom), but, because I have management experience, that'll get me a shot in other places. My degrees and the PMP certification I'm going for, will at least keep me from being systematically excluded from consideration simply for not having the minimum credentials.

I thought about doing Six Sigma, but that seems to have cooled off a lot over the last 3-4 years. Master Black Belt Six Sigma's I knew, were making $175K a year. I think I could get by on that...

I probably wouldn't be driving F-150's anymore though! (Yes, I know Most of America's millionaires own F-150's).
