What was it? It certainly wasn't a meteor, meteor's don't turn.

I've never seen a UFO do what that did, normally they don't leave streaks of light behind them. So if that is indeed a UFO, that would be the first time I've seen a tail of light behind it.

anyway.... I used to see them quite often when I was a kid. I used to spend a lot of nights outside at my parents house which obviously I laid there and looked up at the stars a lot.

there were several times were I'd be looking at this very bright star I thought in the sky, and then it would start to move, moves slow at first, then just vanishes within a blink of an eye. Then there were a couple times where I see this bright light going across the sky, then just stop on a dime, and reverse itself in the direction it just came from.

all in all, about 6 or 7 times within 24 years I've seen them.

That was just your eyes uncrossing, then crossing back. Why are you not at work?

You need to get a "rainy day" job for when you can't do the construction. Maybe deliver pizza or something. The baby is coming and that is expensive!

naaa no need for that. I won the lottery the other day, some 21 million dollars or something, so I don't need to get to work anytime soon again

ha I wish that was true though, that would be nice

I've only seen a "UFO" once, it was in late 1999/early 2000 (I forget), but I do know I was on Plano Parkway, heading West nearing Dallas North Tollway.

A small aircraft (At least it looked small) crossed Plano Parkway as if it were heading down town, but it was maybe a 1-2 miles further down the road from me. Being the aviation buff I am, I quickly reverted to aircraft identification mode, goign through my Mental Rolodex that has a large catalog of aircraft including everything from the Sopwith Camel to the F-35.

Still watching the plane (Which is moving at a fairly high rate of speed for that area (DFW, Love Field and Addison air traffic in the area), just then, said aircraft, made a very tight 180 turn, and went back the way it came, losing very little, if any airspeed. I never positively idetified tis aircraft, but only a missle coudl be this agile, but I doubt even a missle could turn that tightly, and- whatever it was, didn't leave a contrail, and as fast as it was, I heard no engines...
I don't know what it was; there was nothing on the news about it. It was rush hour so I know other folks had to see it (If they looked out of their windshields). Nevertheless, if anyone did see it, they kept their mouth shut like I did.

Possibilities:
Highly agile missle being tested in civilian avaiation airspace. (Foolhardy / doubtful)

Highly agile military test aircraft capable of thrust vectoring, and high radius 180 degree turns, with little of no wing surface area. (No sillouette seen). (possible, but even with thrust vectoring, I find the possibility of such performance without losing airspeed, highly unlikely)

UFO: Nuff said. Do I think there are other being out there, with far greater technology than us? Yes I do. but, until someone provides clear footage, not something that looks like it was taken in one of those $1.00 photo booths, through a dirty lense- I'll keep my paranoia to a low rumble.

The FAA said the light was a high-altitude jet that was leaving a contrail behind it. The sun was at just the right angle before sunset to reflect off the jet and create the illusion of smoke and fire.

CASE CLOSED!!. No such thing as UFO never was never will be....

Can you prove there aren't UFO's? I've had things happen to me that I remember as a kid that I cannot explain to this day. Until you've experienced something you cannot explain, you have no say so in the matter, except for the opinion that you're entitled to. And that ain't sayin' much to make me change my mind about what I experienced.

People look at you funny when you mention stuff like ufo's, ghosts, and the unexplained. It's usually because they're afraid of what they don't know. The bigger the doubter, the more afraid they are of what they doubt.

I would look at you funny also if you told me some chite like that too. I doubt any of it and i'm not afraid one bit... Its all in your heads...
