It was worth a shot.

He shoots, he missed.

Good try though.

Hey . . . you're from the OC! My neighbor to the south. (I've been known to play some golf down there).

:santa:

Awwww . . . thanks for the kind word. In answer to your question, refer to post above right after yours.

Don't quit so soon.

Here's a hint for y'all with regard to the spot with a marina kind-of-thing:

you need not look at lakes or ponds or wide rivers inland . . .

it's somewhere within the red bordered areas . . .

Additional clue just added . . .

As for golf,

Coto de Caza
Oak Creek
Tustin Ranch
Strawberry Farms
Pelican Hill (once . . .and I think it's still closed)

Won't be playing Coto any more, friend of mine was a member there but just moved recently . . . bummer.

Just for you RP -

The answer is yes, but just to make sure I did not mess things up when rotating the map in Google Earth, I went back to google earth just now and did a screen capture and inserted the compass from the same pic.

That is the compass for that exact shot.

Looks like someone is thinking . . . wow, a North facing beach.

By the way, what's my IP address now? You said last night it started with an "I" and ended in "E". That's not where I am. Honestly, I can't even think of any city in Los Angeles County that starts with an "I" and ends with an "E". What city was that????

I give again... I'm making myself motion sick by flying the 'coast'

I know which side of the US it's on... I just can't find it -- and I bet I've flown over it 30 times.

Who knows?

I think the real question is, 'Is your monitor calibrated?', becasue if you're talking about the fire hydrant in the street level pic I posted, it's blue and yellow:
