I do, however, concur that this is more in the western US...

The centerpoint irrigation feature is a big clue. This type of agriculture, while present nearly everywhere in the US that has some level of agriculture, is more prevalent in the southwestern US (ie: New Mexico, Arizona, Western Texas). Also, this would coincide with with the 'dry' conditions that are obviously present.

The little airstrip on the western side of the photo is an interesting one... that could definitely be used as a clue. Runways 40 and 450 maybe?
I have a very big feeling it's in Arizona. I'll do some searching here in a minute after I assign some work to my staff.

Maybe I could assign some of this work to them!

Side note, I also need to search as to how to remove the front bumper of my 05 F150. Apparently someone hit the passenger's side front bumper and scraped the paint really bad while it was parked. It's a lot cheaper to have it painted if I pull it myself.

Both are int the 7200' range (in case you're still interested)

You'd have to figure that it was a Kentucky educated guy that would win... LOL!

I was too busy dredging New Mexico... I didn't really venture too far north.

My guess would be because he is familiar with the area?

Duke, we aim to please. Just as soon as I start my second cup of coffee, and make my House announcement, I'll randomly pick a place.

haha- good ol' UK there...
how'd i figure it out- well, i took a look at the picture, made a simple mental image of the major roadways- from there, i turned OFF US highways , left all the US Roadways on...i new it was small, so i turned off Cities, turned on towns, then scrolled out a bit to see the black lines for roadways,- new it was arid from the pic...and had some mountains on the right, so started in NM and worked up- till i got a pretty good match on my roadways, zoomed in. voila- Laramie Wyoming. took me about 30 mins to do

Kobi,

Can I ask what you do for a living? I find your online intellect intriguing.

Thanks,

Duke

Damn! It took long enough for the pix to load!!!!!

Let's see . . . call up the U.S. . . .

and randomly pick a spot . . .

(I will cop to the fact that it took four tries to get a place. My first two random picks were way, way, north, in the Great White North, which is problematic in that A: It's not in the U.S., and - B: There are no cities up there. Just vast barren wasteland. What's up with that?

Anyway, third try landed me in Manhattan, which is just way too easy, so I made a fourth attempt.

And here it is:

As you can see, it's a sizable town. I have even included the airport so RP can try to determine the location based on the runway configuration.

I know for a fact a number of you kids live in this town so this one should be easy.

The prize for this one is . . . .

oh, I don't know, how about a Ball Point Pen.

(Pen pictured may be different than actual prize.)

Does online intellect differ from offline intellect? Maybe, I'm not sure.

And, since you're in a question asking mood, be sure to read the "Just Ask Kobi™" thread if you think this stuff is clever. (Nothing like shameless self-promotion, eh?)

They "eh" gives a bit of Thunder Bay accent to you. However, I doubt this.

Since I may now ask where you work, where do you work?
