Any bow hunters out there. Season opened here on Friday. I've never been but I've gun hunted for years. I plan on making my first hunt this afternoon. After all the money i've spent on accessories and bow and gas for scouting, I think I'll be happy if I even get a shot off. Wish me luck.

i have a matthews 75lb bow with optical sights

 

When I was a kid I had a 45# bush bow. ( short as I rember it was only 48" strung). I used to hunt rabbits, fast little varments.

 

I used to bowfish when I was a kid, and just last week me and a guy at work brought our bows to work, and set up some foam in the back to target practice on breaks... Boy, it's been a long time...

 

I have a Browing, with quick tunes 4000 drop away rest, optical sights (can't remember brand). I shoot a scott release. Goldtip arrows with muzzy 100 grain 3 blade broadheads.

Didn't have much luck today. There was a ton of people hunting the first place I wanted to go so I went to the back-up location. Some a-hole kids came and started riding 4-wheeler right around where I was (even though my truck should have made it more than obvious that I was there). So in short, I didn't see anything but a fox.
