Yep, thats right, we are going to Texas this weekend to visit some friends.
They have promised to take us to sample some authentic Texas Bar-B-Q for lunch Saturday, maybe hit a bar or two Saturday night but mostly just chill and get caught up with each other and see thier new baby.

In another thread I was told that Texas is full of strong 8's.... I'll let you know when I get back, if it's true I may not come back.

As I recall, your friend lives at the Graham about 35 miles North East of Breckenridge (my birthplace). It is a neat but small town. Try to see Possum Kingdom Lake and maybe Fort Worth if possible. Then get on back home after seeing the sites. we are getting particular about who stays too long in Texas.

Jim,

What did you think of the cool temps this AM? Not to mention the 88 degree high for today?

The cooler weather is very welcome. We walk at night at about 11:30, and it was 75, had been 95. Was so nice. I am ready for fall weather! Wish I could have it without all the leaves.

True, but with the lack of rain and heat this summer, I have leaves all over the place now.

When I walked out the front door this AM, I was wondering how I got to Canada.

Here yesterday, our high was 75º with overcast skies all day, it was so nice.
Today was sunny and the high has been 86º so far. Still not bad but not as nice and refreshing as yesterday was. This is how I wish every weekend of the year was, 85º-90º and sunny. Except deer season weekends, then it needs to be 20º and snowing that weekend.

I don't think there is a huge worry about me staying to long, I definatly do not plan on coming close to wearing out my welcome. I'll be outta there in 24 hours or less.
