Jamz has made it quite clear on several occasions that he will not travel more than 5 miles to meet any of us.

How far of a trip is that?

I mean I knew texas was big, but I guess I'm just realizing HOW BIG.

East to west missouri, border to border is about 6 hour drive on I44 or I70, I've done it several times in an 8 hour work day. Noth to south there is not an interstate and takes about 8-10 hours depending. Done it once, hated it! North Missouri is flat and boring. I hated seeing a corn field for about a year after that trip.

Edited to add:
You can draw a line from Kansas city to Jefferson city, to ST. Louis. Thats my boundry if I can keep from it. I dont want to go North of that.

Holy mother of.........

Alright let me put this into perspective, I drove from here in the middle of missouri, to Havenlock North Carolina (about 20 mins from the ocean) I covered 1/2 of missouri, Illinois, Ketucky, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina in 18 hours......

I crossed 1/2 the country in the same time it takes to cross Texas?

I believe it is over 1000 miles from Texarkana to El Paso.

Well, I'm sure that was an average time. I know it takes almost a full day to cross this big *** state.

Yep. I figure you can usually average 60 mph on a road trip including gas and potty breaks. 985 divided by 60 = 16.4 hrs. Course now the speed limit is 80 mph from Kerrville to El Paso so you're usually safe running 89!

Mapquest says,

Texarkana, TX US - El Paso, TX US
Total Est. Time: 12 hours, 7 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 814.91 miles

Thats still a hell of a long way with out leaving a state.
