Vacation.....Where should I go??

As some of you know I was planning a trip to Texas for a few dyas and then off to Orlando. My buddy from Teas just called me and said he has an inspection during the time I will be there and can't get out of it or off work ( damn military..LOL) Plus his wifes work schedule, which she is commited to at this point isn't very...lets say "Visitor Friendly" that week either. So now I'm trying to figure out what or where else I can go. I still want to make it to Orlando so I can visit my sister and her family, but 10 days sitting at her house while they all go to school and work is not my idea of fun. I also want to go to vist a friend of mine that lives there also. She has some vaation time to take so we were planning on getting together and doing something while I was down there. But ow I don't know what to do, where to go or anything. All I knwo is that I need to get away for a few days and I already have the time off from work.

Do I just go to Florida and stay in Disney or something like that for a few days, then go stay with my sister? Do I try to go somewhere else and see if my friend can go with me instead of meeting her in Florida? Do I just bag the whole trip? This sucks...I was so ready to take this trip and planned on buying my tickets tonight. Thank god my buddy called when he did.

So now, if I do go somewhere else I have to pay for a hotel. So if I now have to pay for a place to sleep, I want it to be somewhere nice at least. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't think you would have a boring time if you spent 10 days around Orlando. there is enough stuff there to keep just about anyone busy. Problem then become how much money do you have to spend?

No, it's not so much that I would be bored in O-town just more the fact that my sister and the entire family will be in school and at work so I wouldnt have much time to "visit"with them. Plus I've been to Orlando numerous times and actually lived there for a little over a year. So I've done most of the touristy stuff. I was thinking , maybe renting a cabin or one of those trailers in Fort Wilderness for a few nights. IDK, I just want to get away and do something, but now I'm drawing a blank on what to do.

I was thinking about Vegas as well. I also just looked into cruises. In October I can get some really good deals on a 5 night cruise in the Western Carribean. I'm just worried about it being hurrican season and having bad weather the whole trip.

Anyone got a barn I can stay in somewhere out west?

A week ago you could have came and helped me pull the engine on the boat and put it back in. There is a get-away for ya......
But it's in and running better than the 150 now...... for now.
I'm 90% confident that it is good to go for the rest of the season.
Not the west but the mid west, my couch is always open to you, unless you just prefer the barn, I have one of those too.

X3 for Vegas. You can't beat free beer and cheap hookers.......

Or if you are not in to that, then just take the cheap hookers.....

also, if your married(which I don't know) ask your wife first.

How about going to the states of PA, MD, VA, and maybe throw in WV and wash and wax the F150 member's trucks in that state.

Can you say Good Times?

I bet there are a few others here that would give you directions to there house also.

Where ever you go, I hope there are Babes and Booze. Make that Easy Babes and Free Booze.

Might as well swing by kentucky too. I have a few vehicles that could stand a wash.
