"Crackberry"

.....well.....I am sure ya'll have not missed me.....but I have been absent lately due to the fact that I have been moving my Exchange Server to a hosted site as well as setting up some new Blackberries.....

....I am now a member of the "crackberry" movement.....and I must say.....just based on 3 days of use.....I have no idea how I operated without one.....

....any fellow crackberries have any suggestions on some recommended applications?

I can't help you there, but I can say be careful. One of my co-workers has one, and he is beyond addicted. He's written several programs, and downloaded all kinds of stuff for his...

They gave me a Palm, cell and laptop when I started. I use the laptop occasionally, but refuse to carry anything larger than a small cell phone...

With you and UC both busy, it has been rather quiet around here. Kind of calm, nice.........

Why are you moving your Exchange server to a hosted service?

Just watch out for carpal tunnel. I saw a report about chronic crackberry addicts experiencing problems with their thumbs. Just one more hit!

At work we were thinking about trading in our current Nextels for Nextel Blackberries, but we had issues with the routing software on one of our testbed servers, so we sent them all back to Nextel. It would have been cool to have a direct connect blackberry, but to be honest, I'm not sure it would last very long with the engineers like me who actually spend time on the manufacturing floor. Then again, whenever I'm on the floor, I need more than just a little PDA--more than likely, my laptop is in use.
