I'm using a Motorola Q (similar to a crackberry) -- it's a smartphone.
Like you, I'm not sure how I managed without it... I've been reading up on using it with a Slingbox... this way, I can 'stream' anything that is on DirecTV or my Tivo to my phone -- anywhere.
