Question Dream "Experts" ...

I have had a few dreams over the past couple of weeks that involve tornado's. Now, I'm a weather nut, and I love meteorology. So I decided to look up what these dreams might mean. (Everything has a meaning of some sort, right?) I went to: Dream Moods (the site is kinda ghey) and this is what I found out...

Tornado

To see a tornado in your dream, suggests that you are experiencing some extreme emotional outbursts and temper tantrums. Is there a situation or relationship in your life that may be potentially destructive?

To dream that you are in a tornado, signifies that you are feeling overwhelmed and out of control. You will be met with a series of disappointments for the next week or so. Your plans will be filled with complications.

To see several tornadoes in your dream, represent people around you who are prone to violent outbursts and shifting mood swings. It may also symbolize a volatile situation or relationship.

Not really what I was planning on finding out....but interesting to say the least. I cant say I've had any "temper tantrums" or "emotional outbursts". I am having a problem with my mother at the moment, but I doubt that's it. Everything in my life seems rather calm and peaceful, minus this damn job.

Any other ideas?

That explains it. A man going through withdrawals will experience all kinds of weird chit when he dreams.

Edit: See I could have said "It means your gay, what with the Tornado "Blowing" and all."

However I wouldn't want to be mean.

Tornado dreams are one of the typical archetypical dreams, the tornado being an archetype for fear, rage, lack/loss of control, etc.

Your typical useless psychotherapist would say that you are having these dreams either because:

A) You fear the coming of a new baby which you may see as disruptive
B) Fear over world events that are currently taking place
C) Something else

I would ask (and so I am asking) are the tornados a future, past, or present event? In other words, do you see it coming at you (a future event, it's not quite there yet but it's coming),

is it hitting you at that moment ? (a present event)

or are you surveying the damage after the tornado has hit ? (past event)

I think it is just a result of your special interest in weather and tornados and the fact that it is tornado season. You are just dreaming about a subject you enjoy. I dream about sex.

I think dream analysis is a crock.

About 80% of my dreams are about sex. (Seriously). My sex life is fantastic. My wife and I go at it 6 out of 7 days a week, and about 4-5 times on weekends.

So do I need more or less sex?

I find that I dream about things I've heard about or saw the previous day. Did you see any news stories on tornados recently?

Maybe you're dreaming about sex because you fear that you're not doing it right. Maybe you fear that your wife is having so much with you, not because you're a stud, but because she keeps hoping you'll finally be good at it and please her for once. In that sense, the dream thing is not a crock (interesting how you use that word as it is so close to c0*k) but rather a manifestation of your fears and shortcomings (so to speak).

PS . . . just messing with you.

Sorry, I should've mentioned this in my opening post, but the torando's seem as if they can't hurt me or cause any damage to me or anything around me. They are just there. It varies from dream to dream (I've had about 5) They aren't really coming at me, going away from me, or anything like that. I see em and want to touch them. Kinda like a dust devil, but a tornado.

The last dream I had, the tornado looked huge and dark. I was trying to get away, but my wife wanted to see it. If you remember the movie Twister (with Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton) there was a scene where they were both under a wooden bridge and Helen Hunt was trying to see it as the tornado was coming for the bridge. In my dream, that's how it was for me and my wife.

Yeah, I think dreams are just random things that come into youre mind. Sometimes I'll dream about something similar to what I have planned for the weekend, or something completely off the wall. Sex dreams are always sweet, just cant always tell the gf about them..lol.

It means you want a degree from the Univ of Texas and you want to live in Austin.
