I did 10, and because I never got E-6 pinned (Didn't go to BNCOC), I never got "INDEFINITE" put on my ID card...
I've been out 10 years, come November 28th; they wouldn't call me back anyway...

How long after basic before a new Jar-head would be shipped to a conflict zone?
About the only tax increase I would support would be one to pay our military people more. Regardless if you believe in the stated reasons for the war (I don't) these people put their A$$ on the line for our Country and receive far too little for doing it.

But I'd go back in a heartbeat.
I've been out since 10/14/96...10 years, I doubt they'd want my old **** anyway. Like I said, i'd go back if I had to and it wouldn't bother me one bit.

They did this a few year ago when the military was having a hard time recruiting new people. They would grab people recently discharged and have them support bases with low manning for 1-2 months. I heard one of the guys say he was thinking about re-enlisting during his short TDY. I wish I could go back in the Reseves but the dam MEPS doc won't let me.
